Tattoo Timelapses – Milano Tattoo Convention 2022
The 2022 Milano Tattoo Convention was pretty hectic, with hundreds of world-class artists under one roof for three days of work.
We paid a visit to some of our favourites to get timelapses of their work in progress - check out the videos below for incredible tattoo artistry from Duda Lozano, Johnny Dots, Caterina Molin, Dangy Tattoo, El Whyner, Giulia Semprini, and Samuele Tavazzi.
Duda Lozano
Brazilian artist Duda Lozano has made a name for himself creating lifelike fabric patch tattoos and we watched him create this Homer Simpson patch reaching out to lick a pink doughnut at the 2022 Milano Tattoo Convention.
Johnny Dots
Co-owner of Custom Ink in Luxembourg, Johnny Dots creates intricate dotwork and blackwork tattoos, and he was at the 2022 Milano Tattoo Convention inking a decorative swan tattoo with floral and ornamental elements.
Caterina Molin
Italian-born Caterina Molin creates her Japanese-style tattoos in studios across Europe, including Italy, Germany and the Netherlands. She spent one of her days at the 2022 Milano Tattoo Convention creating this Japanese traditional tiger piece.
Dangy Tattoo
The Italian owner of Snowblood Tattoo, just outside of Milan, Dangy Tattoo specialises in anime, cartoon and video game body art. We were thrilled to catch her working on this electrifying Mega Gengar ink at the 2022 Milano Tattoo Convention!
El Whyner
Globetrotting lettering and portrait expert El Whyner from the USA spent part of his weekend at the 2022 Milano Tattoo Convention working on these hand banger script pieces reading “Losers Win Again”.
Giulia Semprini
Giulia Semprini, owner of Bridge Tattoo in Rimini, Italy, spent the 2022 Milano Tattoo Convention creating mini portraits, colourful silhouettes and abstract lettering pieces from alternative alphabets - here she is creating a secret word for her client.
Samuele Tavazzi
Italian traditional tattoo artist Samuele Tavazzi spent one of his days at the 2022 Milano Tattoo Convention tattooing this snake-tailed Medusa taking the head of her enemy in a bold blackwork design.
