Just a short trip over the Irish Sea is the Titanic Tattoo Convention in Belfast, which in its 7th year will play host to 95 tattoo artists from around the world.

Held over three days from the 29th–31st July, the convention is held at the Titanic Museum at the Belfast shipyard, close to the city centre, and easy to access.

As well as nearly 100 artists, you’ll find tattoo competitions, live entertainment, Irish dancing, face painting, and visits from Star Wars characters and superheroes alike!

Seek out our sponsored artists, including Ben Dunning for his classic art-inspired blackwork in surreal and abstract designs, and Jenna Kerr for ornamental tattoos including gems, filigree, and art nouveau elements.

Dark Horse Collective will also be sending two of their artists: Rich Harris, whose colour portraits feature elements of the abstract and geometric, as well as Tom Stephenson, creator of dark and sinister black and grey portraiture.

If you’re hoping to get a tattoo at this year’s Titanic Tattoo Convention, you’ll be better off reaching out to an artist before the event to discuss ideas, price and placement to avoid disappointment, as walk-ups aren’t guaranteed.

Day tickets cost just £15, or pick up a weekend ticket for £30. Kids under 16 go free with a paying adult, and there’ll be plenty for them to do and see!
