EZ Tattoo is a tattoo supply company with a range of their own products, such as wireless tattoo machines designed to help artists take their work to the next level!

We love the adjustable stroke length feature on many of their machines which allows artists to explore different tattoo styles and techniques, including fine lines, shading, or more intricate designs!

We spoke with Larry Wang from EZ Tattoo to learn more about how the company started, how they ensure they meet the ever-changing needs of tattoo artists, and what products they’d recommend for artists of different experience levels.

Can you tell us how EZ Tattoo began and what the driving force behind the brand is?

Our founder started as a tattoo artist back in 2005, during a time when equipment was hard to come by. To meet his clients’ needs, he began making his own needles. From there, what started as a personal solution grew into our independent brand, built on years of OEM experience.

Our mission is to provide affordable, reliable tools and disposables that tattoo artists can count on, ensuring their work quality remains consistent without being impacted by unreliable equipment.

What inspired you to focus on creating tattoo products, and what sets EZ Tattoo apart from other brands in the industry?

Our vision is to bring more technology that matters to the artists. Since we operate our own production and motor facilities, we are able to design and plan future products based on the patented technology that our R&D team has worked hard on delivering.

We’ve also acquired various employees that specialise in different skill sets that are able to provide fresh and innovative ideas to the tattoo scene.

What was the first ever product you created with the EZ brand?

Our first product ever is a hybrid machine, a motor driven armature bar mechanism to combine the benefits of a coil to a rotary machine. As for cartridges we made the first one body mold tips that fits in all cartridge machines.

Investing in high-quality products can be crucial for a tattoo artist's career. How important do you think it is for newcomers to invest in reliable gear early on?

As the tattoo industry grows and tattoo-related information becomes easier to access, misinformation can spread quickly. This can lead newcomers to adopt incorrect tools or methods, which can hurt their careers and slow their progress.

It’s crucial for artists to understand not only how to use the equipment, but also why machine and needle companies design their products in specific ways. Recognising these differences in quality will help artists improve and grow in their craft.

For those just starting out, which EZ Tattoo Machines would you recommend to build a solid foundation in their tattooing career?

For beginners, it’s crucial to understand the relationship between needle depth and the impact of different stroke lengths. We highly recommend our P3 Pro series and the PWM series-Evotech Pro to help artists master these techniques.

How do you maintain customer relationships and ensure you meet the evolving needs of tattoo artists?

We have a test pool of artists that specialises in different styles and skill sets that provide honest feedback of the new machines and needles. This gives the artists a sense of involvement and the mutual agreements on the quality and design of the tools.

Our big customer service team is able to provide personalised services to ensure the customers’ satisfaction of our products.

What kind of feedback do you receive from artists using your products, and how do you incorporate this feedback into your product development process?

Throughout the years of creating and producing advanced equipment, we have feedback ranging from 1/10 to 10/10. We take the time to find out the reason for both sides of the spectrum so we can avoid repeating issues and to keep offering products that provides satisfaction.

We are proud to say we are one of the fastest market opinion reacting company in the world so professionals are always re-activated with passion to keep elevating their work.

For seasoned professionals, which of your advanced machines or other products can help elevate their work to the next level?

We highly recommend our Evotech Pro for artists specializing in various styles. With PWM technology, professionals can perfect their craft effortlessly, thanks to the adjustable torque on the needles.

For those who prefer more powerful machines, our P3 Pro Turbo, featuring a direct drive mechanism, is sure to exceed expectations and meet every need.

You’ve just released a few new tattoo machines, including the P3 Pro which has an adjustable stroke length, what was the thought process behind this feature?

With the wide variety of tools available on the market and inflation putting a heavy burden on both customers and artists, wireless pens with disposable cartridges offer a significant advantage.

However, given the financial constraints many face, it would be ideal to provide a wireless pen machine that satisfies professionals by offering customisable options to fine-tune their needs. Different styles of professional tattoos across various fields require specialised technical support, and each artist’s unique needs are carefully addressed.

Can you tell us a little about the EvoTech Pro, including the speed adjustment feature and how this came to be part of the design?

Our motor R&D engineer, a motor expert, understands the reasoning and usage behind the current technology. After listening to artists and addressing concerns about inconsistent power at different machine speeds, we’ve developed a solution to compensate for both power shortages and surges.

We are excited to announce the technical term for this innovation (further details will follow soon), which will help artists understand how this new technology enhances comfort during tattooing and what they can expect from the current advancements.

What was the idea behind creating the EZ Tattoo Community Forum?

Our valued artists are not typical consumers; they require special care and detailed usage instructions. While we hope this doesn’t affect us, there are some circulating rumours that need clarification.

With the help of the forum, professionals can engage in open, honest discussions, ensuring that we don’t come across as a company trying to force products onto people.

The community forum can also provide our users with some exclusive content and resources, such as course lectures, product tutorials, promotional activities and more!

How do you choose your sponsored artists? Who are some artists you've recently sponsored, and what made them stand out?

As a Chinese company, we understand that, due to political stances and media portrayals, it can be easy to assume that supporting us might go against certain beliefs.

However, the world of tattooing has evolved, and many underrated artists deserve recognition. We’ve proudly sponsored artists like ZZL, who specialises in Neo Chinese traditional style, Marine Perez, known for blending traditional art with the dark elements of children’s book illustrations, and Ors_Bloodyhands, who pushes the boundaries of organic biomech.

We seek artists who embody innovation, break creative barriers, and contribute to reshaping the tattoo industry’s future, writing a new chapter in its history.

You attend a lot of conventions, what do you love about them and why would you recommend that artists attend them?

I love conventions because they connect artists with each other and help expand their customer base globally. An artist who doesn’t attend conventions risks losing touch with the broader community and missing the chance to showcase their hard work to a worldwide audience that shares similar struggles and creative breakthroughs.

Conventions are a great way to discover more about yourself and find communities you can call home.

With tattoo technology advancing rapidly, where do you see the future of wireless tattoo machines heading in the next few years?

Thanks to alternative energy sources and engineering advancements, we can now offer more options for artists in a compact form factor.

With valuable feedback from artists and the ongoing innovation of our R&D team, we have several exciting projects in the pipeline that, while we can’t reveal just yet, are set to make a significant impact on the industry.

Are there any upcoming products from EZ Tattoo that artists should keep an eye on? Can you share any teasers or exciting developments in your product lineup?

In addition to our recent collaboration with the legendary Intenze Ink, we have stencil-related products that will greatly enhance the tattooing process, offering versatile functionality.

We’re also launching a new line of pre- and post-tattoo care products, which customers will truly notice a difference with.

And of course, as I mentioned above, we have other exciting projects that we’ll have to keep a secret for a little while longer.

Are there any upcoming collaborations or projects you’re working on that our readers should know about?

We’re offering a range of products specifically designed for newcomers to help them accelerate their learning curve. These items cover all aspects of both digital and analogue creation processes.

Stay tuned for more updates on our social media accounts!

Do you have tattoos yourself? If so, which is your favourite?

I’ve always been a huge fan of Uncle Allan, so I have a gothic baroness on my neck from him and it’s exactly the way I pictured it!

What is your favourite style of tattoo, personally or professionally?

I would say Neo traditional tattoo as it contains the fundamentals of realism but also the lines are so unique. The colours are pastel meaning the knowledge of colour is very important to pull off, plus a Neo traditional artist can have very distinctive style of their own.

Outside of the tattoo world, what do you enjoy doing?

I love death metal especially the slamming brutal death metal sub-genre, I release a lot of albums per year and do small tours around the world!

Can we expect you and the EZ team at any upcoming conventions?

Catch us in Chiangmai tattoo convention in Thailand! The whole convention was booked out the first week they announced the dates, and it’s an honour to be part of the show.

Moving forward, we’ll also be focusing on conventions in the USA and Europe, including Gods of Ink, to promote EZ tattoo and INKin tattoo! Come say hi if you have the chance to stop by!

A big thanks to Larry for answering all our questions and giving us a good insight into the world of EZ Tattoo.
