Award-winning Liverpool-based tattoo artist Simon Mora is an expert when it comes to blackwork tattoos.

Currently based at The Artem Gallery in Liverpool’s city centre, Simon can be found there creating his signature dark designs. From beloved Simpsons characters to spooky skulls, bold lettering and everything in between, Simon is a versatile artist with his own distinctive style.

After beginning his tattooing career at L1 Ink Chapter 2 Tattoo Studio, Simon quickly built up his tattoo repertoire. He tried his hand at a variety of different styles, producing colourful traditional designs and eye-catching neo-traditional work, before moving to Design 4 Life where he truly mastered his craft.

There Simon spent several years perfecting his unique style of blackwork and established himself as a top tattoo artist within the North West of England.

During his time at Design 4 Life, Simon attended many tattoo conventions and participated in competitions to showcase his skills. He won 1st place for ‘Best Blackwork’ at Tatcon Blackpool 2016 for an amazing moth back piece (before reclaiming his crown in 2019 on his return)!

In 2017, Simon opened his own studio, Hollow Crown Tattoo, much to the delight of his clients. There he created some exceptional tattoos, which showed off his love for creepy, gothic imagery.

Now based at The Artem Gallery, Simon is excited to get his teeth into what 2022 has to offer and we can’t wait to see more of his incredible dark tattoos!

To create his amazing work, Simon uses various supplies from Killer Ink, including the Stigma-Rotary® Force wireless tattoo machine, KWADRON cartridges and Dynamic tattoo ink.
